FSConnect / Software

One production system from setup to handoff.

FSConnect is a commercial-foodservice Revit add-in built around the order consultants actually work—not a collection of disconnected utilities.

The workflow

Seven stages. One connected ribbon.

The product follows a recognizable foodservice production sequence: prepare, design, document, coordinate, check, and hand off.

01FS / PROJECT

Project

Project Hub and office settings organize the workflow before production begins.

  • Guided project status
  • Office preferences
  • Repeatable project sequence
02FS / DESIGN

Design

Repair item-number fields and audit equipment-family graphics without replacing valid project data.

  • Item field repair
  • Family visibility review
  • Food Service + Specialty Equipment
03FS / TAG + NUMBER

Tag + number

Tag, number, renumber, clear, and manage spare positions with deliberate scope controls.

  • Selection, view, or project scope
  • Small / medium / large tags
  • Existing-number protection
04FS / DATA

Data

Normalize and refresh equipment information while protecting item numbers and consultant notes.

  • Manufacturer / model / description
  • Case cleanup
  • Controlled data refresh
05FS / PLANS

Plans

Review the drawing set and prepare coordinated equipment, plumbing, electrical, and building-work views.

  • Sheet-set overview
  • Plan and sheet creation
  • Template and scale review
06FS / DETAILS

Details

Bring vendor PDFs into Revit as organized one-page or multi-page sheet layouts.

  • Uniform page grids
  • Title-block-aware placement
  • Sheet numbering control
07FS / FINISH

Finish

Check equipment data, review catalog matches, and prepare structured handoff files.

  • Project QA
  • Model matching
  • Grouped review exports

Product standard

Automation should remove friction—not judgment.

FSConnect keeps important decisions visible. Commands ask for scope, preserve consultant-entered values unless replacement is explicit, and report anything that still needs human review.

FSConnect / operating principles

  1. 01Recognize both foodservice equipment categories
  2. 02Preserve valid project information
  3. 03Support meaningful scope choices
  4. 04Separate automation from review
  5. 05Remain useful without a specific office template

Release direction

Built in production. Now in private preview.

Current builds target Revit 2024–2026. The compatibility roadmap extends full-feature support through Revit 2021 and provides a legacy path for Revit 2019–2020, with version-specific limitations clearly documented before release.

Development currently focuses on workflow stability, code signing, release packaging, support documentation, licensing, and regression testing before compatibility is publicly confirmed.

Private-preview builds do not currently use seat sign-in, phone home, or send project data to a licensing service. Final commercial activation and privacy behavior will be documented before release.
